A Trick or Track – PM Narendra Modi Ordered ministers to disclose their assets.

PM Narendra  Modi made a another promise alive announcing his total assets worth Rs. 2 crores. He shared all the information about his assets on a official government website. PM Narendra Modi  strictly ordered all his ministers to file their assets reports August 31, every year.  He added that ‘he is taking this step for visibility and dedication to fight with upper level corruption’.

Only 15 out of 92 cabinet ministers under modi government have filled all the information related to their assets within the time limit.

The default list includes

  • Piyush Goyal,
  • Smriti Irani,
  • Maneka Gandhi and
  • Ravi Shankar Prasad.
  • Rajnath Singh (Home Minister)
  • Kiren Rijiju. (Jr. Home Minister)

Rajnath singh’s office said “they will arrange all the details of properties and assests and will file immediately”. While Kiren’s office said “we are working out, will file it as soon as possible”.

Home ministry,  to whom the task of managing and collecting finance of different ministers is given. Now, ministers have to provide the financial details of their immediate family member.

After demonetization, I think that this is a new step PM Narendra Modi to abolish corruption from the upper level. While the actual question arises here whether this is a political stunt PM Narendra Modi or he really wants his ministers to disclose their assets.
